CLOUD-NATIVE LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT OF VIRTUALIZED RAN FUNCTIONS USING KUBERNETES OPERATORS AND POLICY-DRIVEN AUTOMATIONID: 3846 Abstract :The Adoption Of Cloud-native Technologies In 5G And Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) Environments Has Transformed The Deployment And Management Of Virtualized RAN Functions. Traditional Lifecycle Management Approaches Often Face Challenges Related To Scalability, Operational Complexity, And Service Reliability. This Paper Presents A Cloud-native Lifecycle Management Framework That Leverages Kubernetes Operators And Policy-driven Automation To Manage Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) And CloudNative Network Functions (CNFs). The Proposed Approach Automates Key Lifecycle Operations, Including Deployment, Configuration, Scaling, Healing, And Upgrades, Through Declarative Policies And Continuous Reconciliation Mechanisms. By Integrating Intelligent Automation With Kubernetes Orchestration, The Framework Improves Resource Utilization, Reduces Manual Intervention, Enhances Network Resilience, And Supports Efficient, Scalable, And Autonomous Management Of Next-generation RAN Infrastructures. |
