    Abstract :

Industrial Development Has Emerged As A Major Catalyst Of Socio-economic Transformation In Indias Peri-urban Regions. Bawal Block In Rewari District, Haryana, Represents One Of The Fastest-growing Industrial Clusters Owing To Its Strategic Location Within The National Capital Region (NCR) And The Establishment Of The Industrial Model Township (IMT). While Industrial Expansion Has Accelerated Regional Economic Growth, Its Broader Implications For Local Livelihoods, Occupational Transition, Income Distribution, Migration, And Social Well-being Remain Insufficiently Explored At The Micro-regional Level. This Study Investigates The Socio-economic Impacts Of Industrial Development In Bawal Block Through An Integrated Empirical Approach Combining Household Survey Data With Secondary Socio-economic Statistics. The Analysis Focuses On Changes In Employment Structure, Household Income, Educational Attainment, Migration Patterns, Infrastructure Development, And Perceived Quality Of Life. The Findings Are Expected To Demonstrate That Industrialization Has Substantially Diversified Livelihood Opportunities And Improved Economic Conditions; However, The Distribution Of Benefits Remains Spatially And Socially Uneven. Agricultural Households Located Near Industrial Estates Exhibit Significant Occupational Shifts Towards Manufacturing And Service-sector Employment, Whereas Vulnerable Groups Continue To Experience Constraints Related To Land Acquisition, Environmental Stress, And Employment Insecurity. The Study Argues That Sustainable Industrial Development Requires Inclusive Planning, Equitable Compensation Mechanisms, Continuous Skill Development, And Strengthened Environmental Governance. The Research Contributes To The Growing Literature On Industrialization And Regional Transformation By Providing Micro-level Evidence From One Of Haryanas Most Dynamic Industrial Regions.
