Design And Post-Layout Characterization Of A CMOS Inverter In SKY130 TechnologyID: 3976 Abstract :This Work Investigates The Implementation And Performance Evaluation Of A CMOS Inverter Standard Cell In The SkyWater 130 Nm Open-source Process Design Kit (SKY130). The Circuit Is Developed And Simulated Using Open-source Electronic Design Automation Tools, Including MAGIC And NGSPICE. Important Electrical Characteristics Such As Transistor Dimensions, Switching Behaviour, Threshold Voltage, Noise Margins, Propagation Delay, And Signal Transition Times Are Evaluated To Assess The Inverters Performance. The Physical Layout Is Subsequently Validated Through Design Rule Checking (DRC), Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) Verification, And Parasitic Extraction (PEX). The Study Demonstrates The Feasibility Of An Open-source Design And Verification Flow For CMOS Standard-cell Development, Providing A Cost-effective Platform For VLSI And ASIC Design Research And Experimentation. |
