IMPACT OF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON MANUFACTURING PROCESS INNOVATION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FIRMSID: 3980 Abstract :This Paper Examines How Systematic Quality Management Practices Impact Manufacturing Process Innovation In Mechanical Engineering Firms. Internal Opposition To Organizational Innovation As Well As Ineffective Linkages Between Existing Quality Management Systems And Current Manufacturing Systems, However, Are Critical Factors Limiting Process Innovation Within Such Firms. To Overcome These Limitations, This Paper Introduces A Total Quality Management Based Model Of Process Innovation That Includes Practices Of Employee Involvement, Continuous Improvement, Customer Focus, Process Control And Data-driven Quality Management. By Applying This New Model, Firms Should Be Able To Increase Productivity And Efficiency, Reduce Defect Rates And Production Costs, Improve Their Manufacturing Flexibility, Increase The Pace Of Innovation, And Ultimately Better Compete In The Global Market. |
